Media: What will your stance be on crime?
Candidate: I know what you want is for me to say,’I will be tough on crime’, I will not disappoint. First I will ask all police forces in the nation to drop the para-military tactics of modern crime fighting and go back to community based police forces. In this way officers can become once again part of the community and not seperate from it. I will ask for sensitivity training in how to deal with difficult situations in a compassionate manner as well as all forces to have the best education in Cultural Humility. It does not stop there, we will create jobs by re-building our crumbling infrastructure,so that sustainable wages will be had by everyone in America. The more jobs, less economic distress on communities. It does not end there, we will have the same educational opportunities that the wealthiest in the nation enjoy. Every school will have outstanding education and we will re-new our committment to have every state college in America offer free education for all. We will bring back drug and alcohol education to schools as it was in the 1990’s but even more, and we will offer cources on domestic violence, sexual, mental abuse and the resources to help children that have suffered. We will empower students to think and be empowered. We will designate more money for treatment for addiction, as well as more support for the Domestic Violence Coalition and Sexual Assault centers. We will adopt the Scandanavian jail system and offer healing and true change for those incarcerated. We will ban assault weapons and further limit easy access. We will stop private prisons and steer away from the modern slave instituition that incarceration in america has become. We will stop the stigmatization of mental illness through awareness and education. We will stop corporate greed from robbing the poor so that the 1 percent can have the highest percentage of wealth in America. We will grow in every community in the United States, sustainable economies that will bring a sense of empowerment and independence, rather than the serf system that modern economics has wrought on this nation through the flawed tool of,’trickle down economics’.
Media: But,but how does this relate…. how can….
Candidate: I know, you asked if I would be tough on crime. The solutions are not easy, and what I have outlined above will be very difficult, but we must remember one thing, every act we do must benefit generations 7 from now. It is time to bring down the broken systems and build sustainable new systems.
